Make It Through
Sometimes you need a listening ear and an open heart to get through what you’re feeling. Transition feels stalled. Grief over losing a job, a person might be clouding your way. Like, you need a job because you lost yours, but you’re grieving over the way you lost it. Where do you start? How do you get through it?
Or, you’re creating a thing that brings up a lot of feelings, your own or the collective’s that you’ll be serving with this creation. (Is it a book? An installation? A presentation? A piece of art?) How do you make room for the feelings, and continue creating?
It’s a wonder what feelings open up and flow when we’re skillfully witnessed in our grief, our confusion. When the feelings move through, there’s room for ease to slip in. If solutions are needed, possibilities finally begin to come in clear.
What I’m not—
Not a therapist. I am not qualified to treat mental health or threats to self or others.
Not certified as trauma informed.
What I am—
A trained coach, certified by Co-Active Training Institute, and the International Coaching Federation, certifying body of the coaching profession.
A seasoned creative coach, creator and “evolutionary buddy” (think of it as a transformational guide).
Survivor. Artist. Corporate IC (Former) (AKA “poet at a bank”).
Author of a memoir and community project about individual and collective grief.
Informed by three decades of engaging with practitioners and teachers in healing modalities—therapy modalities, somatics, 12-step recovery, codependency and boundary work, energetics, meditation and mindfulness teachings, life writing, . . .
I am not a practitioner in most of these modalities.
I live and work from the integrated self these modalities seek to support.
Curator of community projects to connect in affinity, visibility, and sometimes spiritual exploration.
Real human still undergoing the body/soul experience.
