The Shit of It
Don’t read if you’re squeamish. Do read if you can’t get off the potty humor of clearing a block
For You Visionaries, Yep, It’s a Lot like Constipation.
Creative and transitional blocks are made up of old, stuck beliefs, fears, experiences lurking in places they no longer belong. You’re holding onto them for some psychological reason, like safety or habit or expectation. They are blocking your flow. Your creative life force. Making you feel off, sick, irritable, at your wit’s end sitting on the shitter praying to your god, wondering what you did to deserve this.
But How?
If you’re asking how a belief can block your creative or life flow? Consider how willing you are to step on a stage if you’re afraid of what the audience, or a particular person in it, is going to see. That’s stopped flow. Or, how likely are you to have an important conversation if you are believing it’ll never go your way? If you’re avoiding what you need, that’s stopped flow. The belief starts there and begins to affect other circumstances, shutting down other opportunities, relationships and openings.
(It’s a Metaphor)
We’ve veered into clinical territory here. Let’s note that this is a metaphor. A reminder that I’m not a doctor or a therapist. And that some people accommodate clinical diagnoses of these descriptions that have nothing to do with creative or transitional blocks.
Breathe and find the flow
New perspectives, even tiny ones, can shift everything. They loosen up blocked beliefs. They let go of what you don’t need to bring with you into your new creation or way of being. New actions, arrived at from those perspective shifts, clear space for brand new solutions. And, yes, oh my goodness yes, relief lives in the flow of your actions and ideas in motion together once again.
